Exploring Regional Cooperation on Waste Recycling in the Pacific

On June 4, 2026, NRC CEO Mr Dexter Brechtefeld and PRF CEO & Founder Mr Amitesh Deo met with the Minister for Naoero Rehabilitation Corporation, Hon. Reagan Winson Aliklik MP, for a debriefing on the PRF feasibility study on scrap metal in Nauru.

The Minister expressed his deep appreciation to the PRF team for their courtesy visit and reaffirmed his support for this circular economy dialogue. He emphasised that the Pacific region is facing a significant waste crisis that requires urgent attention, as the environmental impacts are becoming severe and risk soon becoming irreversible.
